Welcome to Saint Augustine's parish website
www.staugustinenewcity.org
Thank you for logging onto our parish website. If this is your first time, we hope that you become one of our regular visitors from now on. St. Augustine Church works very hard in providing as much information as we can to serve our parish community.
*We try to keep our articles fresh and relevant. *We would like to hear your comments on how else can we improve our parish website.
Just send us an e-mail at: staugustineREO@gmail.com.
Thank you!!!
Come back and see us again soon!!
Rowena Hoblin
Director of Religious Education
and Website Director
Note to our ministries leaders:
Please allow anywhere between 7 to 14 days
from the day you submitted any article or pictures
to the actual time it may be seen
on the parish website as written
in the set of directions below.
THANK YOU!
Please follow the simple steps below if you would like to post anything on our SAINT AUGUSTINE PARISH WEBSITE:
1 -- Only the clergy, parish staff, and the leaders from our parish ministries and organizations may ask to post an article or an announcement. Please send your articles or announcements to Rowena Hoblin by e-mail at staugustineREO@gmail.com.
2 -- The parish website is DIFFERENT from a church bulletin. The contents in a church bulletin changes every week. The contents in a parish website do not change as quickly as the contents in a church bulletin do.
3 -- VERY IMPORTANT!!! When submitting any article or promoting an event, you must allow PLENTY OF TIME before expecting to see it posted on the website. You must allow anywhere between 7 to 14 days from the day you submitted the article to the actual time it is seen on the website.
4 -- You must FOLLOW UP on your submission at least twice by sending an e-mail to staugustineREO@gmail.com .
5 -- If your article or promotion of an event is TIME SENSITIVE and it involves an RSVP DATE, it is your responsibility to submit your information as early as possible. Please don't forget that it takes between 7 to 14 days from the day you've submitted the article to the day it is actually posted on the website.
6 -- If submitting a FLYER or a REGISTRATION FORM for an event, please submit these in THREE FORMATS: Word Document , ADOBE File, and JPEG. This is important and tremendously helpful to the website director because it saves some time. The website servers control which format we can use when it comes to posting an article, a picture, a document, a form, etc.
7 -- You may submit pictures if you desire to. Please try to limit your pictures between 3 to 4 per article.
8 -- If you have any questions, contact Rowena Hoblin by e-mail at staugustineREO@gmail.com or call the Religious Education Office and leave a message at 845-634-8462.
Thank you!!!

SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE
Saint Augustine’s Social Action Committee is a committee under the auspices of the Parish Council. The committee’s yearly activities reflect the social conscience of our whole parish. The Social Action Committee does so many wonderful things to support the poor in our community: the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive which provides Thanksgiving dinners to the less fortunate, the Backpack Drive where new school supplies in backpacks are handed out to the poor and needy children of Rockland County, and the Blood Drive to help raise the needed pints of blood in the blood bank for emergencies. Our parish would like to thank the leadership of Peter Palko who works tirelessly and enthusiastically to make this committee better and stronger each day.
Your impact and the organization's impact in the parish and in the community
are very much appreciated.
BINGO
The parish would like to recognize Joe Agnello who has been taking charge of the BINGO fundraiser for many years. It's only recently that the Knights of Columbus started helping Joe who has been running BINGO single-handedly. Saint Augustine Parish would like to let Joe Agnello know how much his service and dedication are very much appreciated.
BINGO is held in the parish gymnasium every Friday evening from 6:30PM until 10:00PM. Only adults who are 18-years-old or older may be admitted to play. Sorry, no children are allowed on the premises.
